Emergencies · always one tap away

Your pet's essentials,
ready when it matters most.

Emergencies is its own tab, outside the profile and always one tap away from the bottom bar. It brings together two things: each pet's quick card and a map of nearby veterinary help. A calm view that shows, neatly ordered, the data you've already saved.

What it is

A tab of its own, for when there's no time to search

Emergencies lives outside the profile, as a global quick access — also in PawBook Free. It brings together each pet's quick card (weight, allergies, medication, vaccines and the vet's contact) and a finder for nearby veterinary help with a map. It's a calm reference view, not an alarm: it shows the data you've already saved in an orderly way and helps you locate a clinic. It doesn't diagnose, triage or replace your vet.

Capabilities

The essentials, in a single tap

The data that matters in the critical moment and the help to find a clinic, without navigating through menus.

Quick pet picker

Tap your pet's photo and its emergency card opens instantly, without entering the profile or navigating through menus. (Pets in remembrance don't appear here.)

Quick emergency card

On a single screen, what a vet needs in seconds: species, exact age and sex, plus the key clinical data. The fields you didn't fill in appear as “not recorded”.

Weight as the lead figure

Shows the weight in large type, with the date of the last weigh-in. If more than 180 days have passed, it reminds you to confirm it before medicating. PawBook doesn't calculate doses.

Flagged allergies

If you noted an allergy or reaction to medication, it appears highlighted in red. Food allergies and intolerances also have their own diet card.

Identification and vet

Microchip number and blood type, plus the vet's phone with a button to call. Nothing is dialed on its own: you decide when to press.

Nearby veterinary help

A live map and list of nearby veterinary clinics and hospitals, ordered by proximity with Apple Maps. With the option to search by name or city.

The quick card

Everything that matters, on one screen

The card's data is filled in from the profile editor (the “Health” step), and here it's shown in order so anyone — your partner, a caregiver or the vet themselves — understands the situation in seconds. Weight and allergies stand out, because they're what decides a dose.

  • Species, exact age and sex, at a glance
  • Weight in large type, with a reminder past 180 days
  • Medication and food allergies, flagged
  • Active follow-ups, medication and vaccines

PawBook only shows the data you've saved and the clinics Apple Maps offers — it doesn't use AI, doesn't diagnose, doesn't triage and doesn't dial any number for you: you decide when to call. Location is used only while you're searching for clinics and no history is ever stored. Your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud.
